You can book directly through our website by selecting your preferred property and dates via our designated booking link here. Alternatively, you can call us on 0421 595 129 to make a reservation.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our standard policy allows free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Cancellations made 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 14 days before arrival are non-refundable. We recommend travel insurance for unexpected circumstances.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
Yes, most of our properties have a 2-night minimum stay during regular periods and a longer minimum (typically 5-7 nights) during peak holiday seasons. Specific requirements are listed on each property page.
Do you offer discounts for longer stays?
Yes, we offer discounts for stays of 7+ nights. Weekly rates typically save 10-15% compared to nightly rates. Monthly rates are available upon request with even greater savings.
Can I request a specific property or unit?
Yes, all our listings show the exact property you’ll be staying in. For properties with multiple units (like our Oceanfront Units), you can select your preferred unit subject to availability.

All Salt and Stone properties feature fully equipped kitchens with refrigerator, cooking facilities, microwave, coffee maker, and essential cooking utensils and dinnerware. Specific appliances may vary by property and are detailed in each listing.
Are linens and towels provided?
Yes, we provide quality bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels in all our properties. For stays longer than 7 nights, a mid-stay linen change can be arranged.
Do your properties have laundry facilities?
Laundry facilities vary by property. Some properties have private laundry facilities while others offer access to shared laundry amenities. Details are specified in each property listing.
Is there parking available?

Standard check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability.
How do I access the property upon arrival?
After your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you access instructions via email. Most properties have a secure key lockbox with a unique code for your stay.
Is there someone on-site to assist with issues?
While we don’t have staff on-site 24/7, we have a local property manager available to assist with any issues during your stay. Emergency contact information is provided in all properties.

Our Oceanfront Units have directly access to the beach, and the property outdoor area is directly on the beach. Distance to the beach for other properties is clearly indicated in each listing.
How many people can each property accommodate?
Capacity varies by property. Our Oceanfront Units can accommodate up to 16 guest in total across 8 bedrooms. Maximum occupancy is clearly stated on each property listing.
Are the properties suitable for children?
Yes, most of our properties are family-friendly. Please ensure children are supervised at all times near water.
Can I arrange in-house services like catering or massage?
Yes, there are some great local providers for in-house services including private chefs, massage therapists, and yoga instructors. Please see our Things to Do in Burrum Heads page, and filter by ‘In-House Services’. You can book these directly with the providers.
Where is the nearest grocery store?
Burrum Heads has a small general store for essentials located centrally in town. For larger shopping, Childers (20 minutes away) has a supermarket, or Howard/Torbanlea (15 minutes away).
Are there restaurants within walking distance?
There are several casual dining options within walking distance in Burrum Heads, including the Burrum Heads Hotel, fish and chip shop, and a cafe. For more dining options, Hervey Bay is a 30-minute drive away.
What is the best time of year to visit Burrum Heads?
Burrum Heads enjoys great weather year-round. September to November offers warm temperatures and whale watching opportunities. December to February is perfect for beach activities but is also our busiest period.
How far is Fraser Island from Burrum Heads?
Fraser Island is approximately 45 minutes away by car to the nearest departure point for tours and ferries.
Is Burrum Heads suitable for fishing?
Absolutely! Burrum Heads is renowned for its excellent fishing spots. Both river and beach fishing options are available, with boat ramps nearby for those bringing their own vessel.
Are there medical facilities in Burrum Heads?
Burrum Heads has a small medical centre with limited hours. The nearest 24-hour medical facilities are in Hervey Bay, approximately 30 minutes away.
What wildlife might we see during our stay?
Burrum Heads is rich in wildlife. You’re likely to see dolphins, turtles, various bird species, and on rare occasion even possibly dugongs. During whale season (July-November), humpback whales can often be spotted from the shore.
