Where the river meets the coast.
Burrum Heads is on Queensland's Fraser Coast, north of Hervey Bay, where the Burrum River meets the sea. The town has a quieter village feel, with the foreshore, waterways and room to slow down. It is a place to settle into a holiday home, spend time by the water and choose a few local outings.
Choose the right waterfront address
Our Oceanfront Units are at 56 Esplanade, Burrum Heads, with direct beach access, a private balcony or patio and a shared heated pool. Sunset Waters is a separate private home on the Burrum River. Check the property name and arrival information on your booking confirmation before setting your route; the two properties are not at the same address.
Plan your journey
Use your confirmed property address when checking driving directions. If you are arriving by air, compare your onward transport options before booking a flight. Allow time for stops and current road conditions rather than relying on a fixed journey time. Balmy Breaks can help with property-specific arrival questions through our contact page.
Leave some room to explore
Start with the Burrum Heads foreshore, then see what suits the day. The Coast guide brings together ideas for local walks, fishing, food and outings across the wider region. Some activities are in neighbouring towns, so check each provider's location and opening information before you head out.
For an overview of Burrum Heads, Toogoom, Howard and Torbanlea, the official Visit Fraser Coast Burrum Coast guide is a useful starting point. Before boating or planning time on the shoreline, check the weather and tide planning links too.
Once you have found the setting that suits your stay, check availability with Balmy Breaks. For several units or a question about bringing a boat, ask the team before finalising your plans.
