Choose a ride for your ability
Queensland Parks identifies the trail entrance off O’Regan Creek Road, with parking access from Toogoom Road near the intersection. Check its map before leaving and follow the signed trail grades and directions at the site. Start with a route that fits the least experienced rider in your group, rather than choosing only by distance.
These are technical mountain bike trails. Parks does not recommend walking or running on them, so they should not be presented as a general family bushwalking route. Choose a designated walking destination if that is the day you want.
Before leaving the coast
Use a suitable mountain bike, wear a helmet and carry water, basic repair equipment and a way to navigate. Review park alerts and weather, and respect closures and wet-weather restrictions. A tourism listing describes the network, not a guarantee that every track or facility is available today. For a mixed group, plan the meeting point and return time before riders separate.
